Today, I added a little bit more decor to my new home, a piece that I’m very excited about.
Rug hooking is something that I do a little bit of but would like to do a lot more consistently. This past Christmas, my mom bought me a stained glass pattern from Deanne Fitzpatrick’s Studio and I’m so very happy with how it turned out! This was a fun project because I got to use up a lot of the material I had left over to make a colourful, simple piece (plus, it didn’t take long at all!).
Mom surprised me this week by getting it framed and ready to put on the wall in my new apartment. I couldn’t be happier with how it looks. Hopefully having this one piece on the wall will inspire me to create more!
I think it’s so important to spend time being creative. That’s partly what this blog is about, making room in my life for creativity. I’m always looking for new ways to express and create in my day-to-day life. Sometimes I dance, write, doodle, or sing, but it’s always fun to try something new.
