It’s finally summer, and to say I’m completely stoked would be an understatement. With this warm weather comes the opportunity for incredible outdoor adventures. Since this year is Canada’s 150th birthday, my theme for this summer is exploring my own backyard. Obviously, there are hundreds of exotic places I’d love to see, but what’s that worth if you don’t know what lies just beyond your doorstep?
To kick off this adventure season, I’ve jumped to the end of it and planned an epic road trip. Here’s the (tentative) itinerary:
Day 1 & 2 Mount Carleton Provincial Park
Day 3 Forillon National Park
Days 4,5, & 6 Parc National de la Gaspesie
Days 7 & 8 La Mauricie National Park
Days 9,10, & 11 Wanderlust Yoga Festival
I’m so excited for this trip. It’ll take me through parts of the Maritimes and Quebec that are completely unknown to me, which is so thrilling! I’m also happy that my parents are coming with me, so it’ll be a family trip.
Perhaps the most anticipated part for me is the last three days… a yoga festival in the beautiful Mont Tremblant, followed by a train ride through the Maritimes to bring me home, what could be better?
If you have any other Canadian adventure recommendations or some trail ideas for the parks we’ll be visiting, I’d love to hear them below!
What adventures are you planning for your summer?
